Meet Nia Nihalani. One of the faces you have seen in our most recent Catwalk Junkie campaigns.
She is truly a presence of joy – her always uplisting smile and amazing energy. What are her dreams and inspirations, and what does a day in the life of Nia look like? Read along and get to know this dream women a bit better.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
Hi, my name is Nia, I am 24 years old and I’m a model, make-up artist and night nurse.
How did you start modeling?
I will never forget the day I took part in a fashion competition called Fashion Fest at the Tropen Museum. The fashion fest gives talents diverse perspectives on fashion, art and design. There were a lot of participants and people in the audience and I was bit nervous. In the end I won a contract with my mother agency. It was a really great experience!
What do you love most about modeling?
I love meeting new people, working together and the traveling is also something I really enjoy. I like that at every shoot there is a different vision and that I get to discover new styles and looks.
You also worked as a night nurse, can you tell us about that and combining this with modeling?
I work as a night nurse in a care villa with older people with dementia, for 2 years now. I think it is a really lovely job and it gives me a good feeling to be able to assist and take care of the older people.
My team knows that I am a model and they are really flexible.
How could you describe a work day in the life of Nia? :)
I will wake up early, take a shower and do my skincare routine. I have a healthy breakfast and I’m off to the shoot. Shooting all day and also taking some fun behind the scenes pictures. After the shot I will do groceries or go to the gym. I will take a shower and go to sleep :)
Your unique go-to style
My unique go to style is a good pair of joggers, leggings, baggy jeans and i love hoodies! You can style these items with so
many things and I love comfy clothes!
We’re so thankful to have been working with you over the last years! What are your favorite styles from Catwalk Junkie?
My favorite styles are the clothes from the Comfort Studio line: the sweats and jersey and the sustainable styles. And also, the upcoming Spring line.
We know you love to travel; what travels are dearest to you and which are still on your bucket list?
My first job in Marseille, France. It was my first shoot and traveling by myself. I was nervous but the team was so nice, and had the amazing shoot. I have some places on my bucket list like: United States, Bali, Mexico, Nepal, China.
When you’re not working, what do you love to do? (What gives you joy?)
I love to do sports, it gives me a lot of joy when I’ve had a good training. I like to do make-up on clients, and it makes me so happy to see a client who loves their make up! I also love going on trips with my family.

Hopes, dreams and goals for this year or the years to come?
I hope to have good health and work as a model as long as I can. I dream of one day buying a house abroad and my goals are
to travel around the world, expanding my make-up jobs and go back to school and get a degree.
